The Road Development Agency (RDA) in the fourth quarter of 2023 embarked on the project to construct Malolwa ACROW Bridge in Kabompo District in North-Western using Zambia National Service (ZNS) as the contractor.
The scope of works includes but is not limited to the following:
- Site clearing and camp establishment;
- Construction of two reinforced concrete abutments;
- Erosion protection works;
- Construction of approach embankments;
- Assembly of the prefabricated steel superstructures;
- Launching of the prefabricated steel superstructures; and
- Ancillary works.
Major civil works have been completed and the physical progress attained is approximately 90%.
The remaining works are expected to be completed by mid February 2024.
