The Road Development Agency (RDA) has completed the construction of Chibila box culverts in Mumbwa District in Central Province.

Chibila Community is located approximately 5 kilometres from Mumbwa Central Business District (CBD) and it is predominately a farming area. The community had challenges crossing Chibila stream to access social amenities especially during rainy season because the drainage structure was washed away during the 2022/2023 rainy season.

The works also included spot re-gravelling of the 5 kilometres stretch from Mumbwa to Chibila.

Other works undertaken included: Clearing and grubbing, road formation and spot gravelling,
installation of 3-line 2400×2400 millimetres box culverts including relief pipe culverts, erosion protection works and ancillary road works.
