Works on Mazabuka-Monze Road have gained momentum with the contractor surfacing 3.5 kilometres.

The scope of works on the 62 kilometres stretch includes but is not limited to pothole patching and resealing with 40 milimetres asphalt on good sections and full rehabilitation on severely stressed sections.

Works are expected to be completed within 12 months.

The Mazabuka-Monze stretch is the only section of T1 in bad condition.
