The Road Development Agency (RDA) is a statutory body of the Government of Zambia established under the Road Development Agency Act No. 12 of 2002.
RDA is mandated to manage and develop the national road network of Zambia. Under the oversight of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, RDA ensures a sustainable, safe and cost-effective road infrastructure that supports national economic development and connects communities across Zambia's ten provinces.


RDA's vision is "A sustainable, fit-for-purpose road infrastructure in Zambia." Our mission is to plan, develop and manage the national road network in a sustainable, safe and cost-effective manner for the socio-economic development of Zambia.
Planning and executing construction of new roads and upgrading of existing road infrastructure across Zambia.
Ensuring the national road network is maintained to the required standards through periodic and routine maintenance programs.
Incorporating road safety features in design and construction to protect road users and reduce road traffic accidents.
Ensuring all road development activities comply with environmental laws and best practices to minimise environmental impact.
