Works on the first 70 kilometres (Lot 1) of the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway have gained momentum.

Lot 1 involves works between Ngwerere roundabout to Chibombo District.

The works are at various stages of construction.

On the first section, clearing and grubbing, filling of selected layers upto subgrade level, construction of lower subbase and drainage structures has been done in a number of places.

The second section has partially been cleared and grubbed and filling of selected layers is ongoing while construction of stabilised subbase is yet to commence.

Construction of drainage structures is as well in progress.

Works are also ongoing from Chibombo to Kapiri Mposhi and from Kapiri Mposhi to Ndola as well as the Masangano-Fisenge-Luanshya Road section.
