The Government through the Road Development Agency (RDA) is undertaking a pilot project to upgrade to concrete standard the 7.3 kilometres Chibuluma Road in Kitwe.
The Government funded project had progressed and a trial section with a stretch of 50 metres is underway near the Kalulushi Road Junction.
The project is expected to be completed in December 2024
The RDA has engaged East to West Construction and Mining Limited to construct the Chibuluma Road to concrete standard.
The scope of works also involves: Relocation of services, construction of pipe culverts, construction of the box culvert, earthworks, roadbed preparation, cement stabilised subbase construction, construction of concrete lined drains and construction of the rigid concrete pavement.
